Duplex paper for food packaging applications. Our wrap paper with a laminated layer on one side is top quality paper and it is just what our customers require to wrap cooked foods and deli items. Duplex paper is assembled from a printable paper sheet and a thin sheet of film (HDPE) by bonding the film at certain points. The bonding at certain points results in an air cushion between the paper and the plastic sheet, which helps to extend the life of the packaged goods. At the same time, these can later be disassembled into their individual material components (paper and plastic), which optimizes the disposal costs for dual systems.
Like waxed paper, this sheet made of paper and film (also known as “fresh pack”, “ham wrap”, “deli wrap”, “meat wrap” or “butcher paper”), is normally used on delicatessen counters for wrapping cheese slices, cold meat and fish but can be used with any other fresh food products characterized by high humidity and presence of grease or oil. Our duplex paper made from white coated paper laminated with a sheet of high-density polyethylene glued to one side is suitable for direct contact with all types of food and is perfect for wrapping wet products (its moisture resistant properties offer versatile uses for butchers, restaurants, delis and grocery stores).
